The examination

The examination includes a medical history and a physical examination, with vision and hearing tests when required. Depending on your health, the doctor may request additional tests. It takes about 45 minutes, and certificates are valid for up to 2 years.

What to bring

Passport or national ID, your previous certificate if you're renewing, glasses or contact lenses, a list of current medications, and any relevant medical reports.
